Training Framework
Sequencing with Intention
The focus is not just on creating sequences, but understanding the intentionality behind them. Sequencing can be a tapestry where each asana, breath, and transition is thoughtfully placed, with an understanding of its purpose. This allows for the creation of classes that have both flow and depth.
Creating Your Personalized Container
This aspect emphasizes the individuality of each teacher’s style. Rather than following a rigid, one-size-fits-all formula, participants will be encouraged to craft sequences and class structures that reflect their unique voice and the needs of their students. This personal touch could include adjusting for different environments (e.g., studio, outdoor, virtual) and teaching styles.
Diverse Methodology
Traditional Asana & Creative Flow: You'll explore both the classical structures of yoga asana and more freeform, creative flows that might arise from listening to the body and intuition.
Functional Movement: A deeper dive into movement patterns that serve both the body and the practice, focusing on anatomical principles and how yoga postures connect to everyday movement.
Breathwork & Meditation: Emphasizing how breath can shape the rhythm of a class and enhance the body’s connection to each movement, while meditation techniques can guide mindfulness and deeper awareness throughout the sequence.
Instructional Lab
A place for teachers to experiment, make mistakes, and refine their skills in sequencing and teaching. This lab will probably involve both self-practice and peer teaching, offering opportunities for real-time feedback and support.
Community Building
Open to teachers who have completed a foundational training, this program fosters a community of like-minded professionals who want to expand and refine their craft. The experience is as much about the group dynamic and exchange of ideas as it is about the technical skills.
